In practice, this means we can guarantee you a consistently high level of service. With Blyth Group, you get the value you expect alongside the customer satisfaction you deserve.

We carry out regular audits to ensure these quality management processes stay comprehensive and relevant. We also adapt these processes based on feedback from clients and independent certification bodies.

Plan with confidence safe in the knowledge that your project will wrap up on time, within budget and to the highest possible standards.

ISO 14001:2015

Choosing a partner with ISO 14001:2015 certification helps demonstrate your commitment to sustainability and enables you to adhere to your own environmental targets.

Using this framework, we've developed our own environmental management system to take account of:

  • Auditing
  • Communications
  • Labelling
  • Life cycle analysis
  • Climate change

Recognised internationally, ISO 14001:2015 confirms that environmental standards are not only being adhered to, but measured and improved on.

This enables you to adhere to statutory and regulatory requirements, as well as benefit from improved efficiencies and reduced costs.

It also reassures residents, employees and stakeholders that you're taking every possible step towards reducing your carbon footprint.

Disability Confident

Prove your commitment to supporting disabled people in the workplace by partnering with a provider that’s part of the voluntary Disability Confident scheme.

Achieving Disability Confident status means we’ve taken steps within our community to employ, support and empower people with disabilities.

Through the national Disability Confident scheme, we’ve been able to employ a host of talented, highly motivated and valuable new team members.

We’ve also received specialist guidance, implemented new resources and conducted assessments to make our workplace and working practices as accessible as possible.

A government initiative, Disability Confident has been developed in conjunction with both employers and disability rights representatives. The scheme is categorised into three levels:

  • Level 1: Disability Confident Committed
  • Level 2: Disability Confident Employer
  • Level 3: Disability Confident Leader

Not only does this vastly enhance our team, it helps us adopt a unique perspective concerning the needs of disabled people in the properties we service.

As a Disability Confident Employer, partnering with Blyth Group won’t just help you find efficient solutions, you’ll gain access to vital skills and expertise not available elsewhere.

TPAS

Tenant Participation Advisory Service (TPAS) Quality Mark certification demonstrates the strong onus we place on resident engagement on your behalf.

This certificate and the associated service standards – developed specially for suppliers and sub-contractors – provides a minimum framework from which to ensure residents stay involved and informed.

The standards TPAS measures include the provision of:

  • Information regarding relevant services and products
  • Consistent improvements in service delivery
  • Team training for resident engagement and equality/diversity
  • A defined approach towards resident engagement and client interaction

Regardless of the quality of work completed, a high service standard can only truly be achieved with the degree of inclusivity outlined by TPAS.

This certificate offers third-party assurance to you, your partners, your residents and future residents that the well-being of those occupying the properties remains a key concern.

It shows that we listen and respond to residents, seeking to involve them throughout the entire process before going the extra mile to deliver in line with their needs.

TPAS also acts as a mark of credibility and excellence, assuring your organisation and your residents that the highest relevant standards will be adhered to.

This certificate is widely recognised as the standard for resident engagement.

Accredited training is a key element of TPAS certification

To ensure the framework is universally delivered, TPAS provides Blyth Group with advice, accredited training and regular audits by an independent TPAS team.

The 'Level 2 Award in Involvement in Housing and Communities' and 'Level 3 Award in Resident Scrutiny' training qualifications promoted by TPAS are both accredited by the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH).

TPAS also provides Blyth Group with Level 2 training qualifications in conjunction with Open Awards, including:

  • Understanding Tenant Scrutiny
  • Understanding Housing Management Performance Information
  • Social Media
  • Effective Meetings
  • Tenant Involvement

Demonstrate your credentials as an inclusive housing provider by partnering with Blyth Group, a TPAS-approved organisation.

Gas Safe

Our Gas Safe registration provides a high-level framework for delivery, helping you reassure residents of your commitment to gas-related safety standards.

This enables you to:

  • Satisfy building regulations
  • Minimise carbon monoxide risks
  • Reduce the chances of an emergency
  • Alleviate the need for repeat visits

Not only do we provide all relevant Gas Safe certification, we also commit to adhering to the regulatory body's five key performance indicators.

Residents will welcome your commitment to gas safety standards. Our team can be found on the Gas Safe Register, or present a Gas Safe ID card on arrival.

Certifying Appliances

Whenever we install a new heat-producing gas appliance, we'll issue a 'Building Regulations Compliance Certificate' to notify the local authority. This will then be sent on to residents within 28 days.

We also maintain a 'Landlord Gas Safety Record' for each property after every visit. Required by law, this document lists precisely what checks have been carried out, by which engineer and when.

Your Landlord Gas Safety Record has to cover:

  • Property address
  • Location of every appliance and flue checked
  • Safety defects and required action
  • Comprehensive results confirmation
  • Date of checks
  • Landlord (or, agent) name and address
  • Name, signature and registration number of inspector

You also need to keep all gas pipework in satisfactory condition. Once we've carried out all the relevant checks, we can issue you with paperwork confirming the integrity of your gas pipework.

Gas Safe Registration isn't just a legal obligation. It's proof that you put the safety and wellbeing of your residents above all else.

Ensure your next project is completed to the optimal standards by partnering with Blyth Group, a multi-certificated service provider.

Cyber Essentials Plus

Cyber Essentials Plus still has the Cyber Essentials trademark simplicity of approach, and the protections you need to put in place are the same, but this time the verification of your cyber security is carried out independently by your Certification Body. The more rigorous nature of the certification may mean you need to buy additional support from your Certification Body.

Cyber Essentials and GDPR

The GDPR is a far reaching set of regulations, intended to guarantee the privacy of individuals and protection of personal data, within the European Union.

Although the regulation demands that you take appropriate measures to protect the integrity and confidentiality of any personal data you hold, it does not provide a check list of measures for you to take. Instead, it specifies that you must determine your own cyber security approach based on the personal information you hold and the risk to individuals were that information be lost or compromised. The NCSC has published some information on the relationship between GDPR and cyber security.

Cyber Essentials can help with this, but it’s not a solution for all your GDPR obligations. It’s also important to realise that the information security which GDPR requires extends beyond cyber security to include things like the physical and organisational security measures necessary to protect personal data.

The Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), whose job it is to uphold the GDPR in the UK, recommends Cyber Essentials as ‘A good starting point’ for the cyber security of the IT you rely on to hold and process personal data. Our technical controls will give you a solid base on which you can build your cyber security as appropriate.

The GDPR came into effect on 25 May 2018.
